A person in career services, who I usually like, said to me the other day: “You know, you don’t have to get a job before you graduate. It’s not a metric anyone should hold themselves to.”
Thank you, Mr. Career Services Dude. When I graduate, I will have over 40k in student loans. I will have an apartment with lease that expires 2 months later. And so, I will essentially be up to my ears in debt and homeless. But I suppose that doesn’t matter as long as all the Career Services Dudes can keep their cushy jobs while we all flounder in a horrible economy, watching as we sink one by one under the waves. What does the program care, I’ve already paid my tuition. I suppose as long as they are paid, everything is peachy.
