I like Chapter LXXII. I think it’s important to believe in yourself and trust your place in the world around you. I’m also sympathetic to the counter culture side of things, so I like the idea of leading without leading and not always trying to establish some crazy authority over everyone. We should all try to work better with those around us.
When they lose their sense of awe,
people turn to religion.
When they no longer trust themselves,
they begin to depend upon authority.
Therefore the Master steps back
so that people won’t be confused.
He teaches without a teaching,
so that people will have nothing to learn.
