CSA Week Two
I know you are all waiting with bated breath for these CSA updates. But I’m excited! After a hard day at work, it’s nice to go pick up fresh food and figure out what the hell to make with it. As you can see to the left, I started out tonight with a salad because I’m lazy, it’s summer, and I’m a big salad fan.
The share this week includes:
- Raspberries
- Baby Spinach
- Boston Lettuce
- Beets
- Turnips
- Scallions
- Dinosaur Kale
- Cilantro
Luckily, the kale looks like it was destined at birth to be kale chips, so we’ll see how that little experiment turns out. However, every week presents a conundrum. The week before last, my big question was, What the hell do I do with all this rhubarb? This week, it’s the cilantro with all the beet and turnip greens. I’m thinking this recipe might be right, because of all the pepper and how I more or less have all the other ingredients.
But regardless, the CSA is worth it just for those raspberries. They are rockstars.
Tonight’s salad includes:
