Raspberry Jam

This is a cooked version of jam.  You can also make it “fresh” by leaving out the cooking part, and it’s still delicious

Ingredients:

  • 1-1 ratio raspberries and sugar
  • some hot water

To make:

Crush rapberries in a pot until there aren’t any whole left. Add sugar and stir it in. When it’s dissolved put on the burner and cook at a simmer. If there isn’t enough juice in the raspberries, add some hot or boiling water. Make sure to scrape off the “scum” and put it in another bowl. When there is no more scum and the raspberries have a nice consistency, you are done. Also: be sure to save the “scum,” it’s the best part and tastes great in tea!
