Granola Muesli

This was my preferred cereal in the mornings before school.  I made it every week.  Now, I can go buy it in a store, but it still tastes better!


  • 4 cups non-instant oatmeal
  • 1 cup nuts (walnuts or slivered almonds or both)
  • 3/4 cup dried fruit (raisins, dried apricots and craisins are excellent)
  • 1/4 cup juice (apple, peach, apricot)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup coconut
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

To make: Turn on oven to medium heat. Mix together oatmeal, nuts, coconut, vanilla, honey and juice in bowl. Grease pan with a little oil and spread mixture in the pan so that it is one even, thin layer. Bake about 10-15 minutes. Mix in fruit and store.
