I have been having problems with comments by my usual commenting server, YACCS, for awhile now. Tonight I read that they are going defunct in December anyway.
I have converted to Blogger comments so that I'll still have comments on my blog. Unfortunately, some of the highlights (and hilarious lowlights) will be deleted. For now, I'm authorizing anonymous commenting. Mainly, that is because anonymous people give me good rants. But if it becomes annoying, I will make people log in or not comment at all.

I have totally updated the photos section, which is expanded and further credited.
Tony's mom had granted me permission a long while ago to post some of her pictures of Germany, including the castle she works at, Gluecksbuergerschloss. (Man, those Germans like their long words!) About a month ago, she was a bit irate with me, because I hadn't given her credit on the pictures. My policy was just that I put a disclaimer up saying that while I had taken most of the pictures on the site, some of them were not mine, and had been taken by various acquaintances. As she rightly pointed out, this was not being responsible to people who, like her, had done professional photography.
So, my revised Germany spread starts out with pictures by me, goes to ones that Tony took, and then I have designated the last section as being photographed by Frauke (his mom).

My picture section has been bothering me for awhile. I have all these pictures, and for some reason my code just could not do the heavy lifting required for it. So, I am using the Mac web editor and am hosting many of my files on the mac.com site.
So, if you enter the stock photography link, you will see one link to many of my main pictures on the other site. I have updated many of these pictures, so there are new ones of Philadelphia and I added a dedicated page for my cat.
Hopefully, I'll have even more updates soon for pictures, because I really like to share them!

I posted some pictures of mine off-site, so that I can make sure they all load. Mac also does a complimentary slide show.
Go here to access pictures that I have taken in Malaysia, Shanksville and New York.

I need a new laptop. I got this one for free, and that's a good thing. However, the keyboard doesn't work properly, it is severely limited in memory, and it's not portable - the battery lasts about 5 seconds.
I have been thinking about something that I never even considered before: buying a Mac instead of a PC.
I have heard that the Toshiba laptops are very reliable, and I can get one with lots of memory and inexpensively at that. But the Mac is supposed to be very reliable and works well. They are also very expensive, and the Mac is about $300-400 more than the equivalent Toshiba. Ah, but how they sparkle in their pretty white plastic!
While I am leaning towards the PC, I genuinely don't know which to choose. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

As you can see in the side panel, I have done some website updating. Most of it has been in order to organize my files more effectively. I am hoping that I will be able to do more in the future. For now, my stock photos are organized by country for faster loading, I have removed some dead links and some links that I'm pretty positive no one goes to anymore.
I have had seprah.com since 1999, and have used it actively since 2001, so some of my information is also really dated and the writing awful. I am trying to streamline everything. If someone out there would like me to change/remove something, or if something just bugs, please post in the comments.
