Pull the Curtain Back Spell ||>

The trick to this spell/trance is making your third eye strong enough to see beyond the veil of the arcane and mundane. That is how Buffy could tell the Dawn was the key. For those of us who aren't a sorceress or a slayer, this might take a couple of tries, but should come about relatively easy.

Materials Needed:
  1. Incense (preferably sandalwood)
  2. Consecrated Sand
  3. A quiet place to meditate
Light the incense and the sand in a counter-clockwise direction (for undoing the veil... and because Buffy did it that way) for a circle big enough for your body to cofortably sit on the floor.

Meditate in a position where you are comfortable but not able to fall asleep. Go into a trance where your mind is blank and focus on your third eye chakra. It might take awhile, but there should be a time where your mind expands, and you know where everything in the room is. This is the preliminary state for seeing "beyond the veil".You should be able to open your eyes, and for a temporary time, see things that you couldn't before. This will just wear off eventually.

Special note: If you do this enough, you might get a strange sensation (its different for everyone), of your spirit trying to leave your body. To be honest, I don't know what happens next, because I never go farther than that. But this is a real rending of the veil and may be beneficial to you magically as well as psychically. The effects mentioned above are much greater and longer. Good luck.
